Salt Creek is a small tributary that enters the Middle Fork Willamette River just east of Oakridge. It is fed mainly by snowmelt after warm spells in the spring, but large winter rainstorms occasionally bring the creek to a runnable flow. The continuous nature helps ease what many might call a steep gradient.Though play spots are few, the constant class 3 action creates an enjoyable cruising stream. Character: forested.
