North Waldo Professional Review and Guide
"This popular campground rests in a high-elevation forest at the north end of Waldo Lake, a 10-square-mile natural lake that lacks a permanent inlet. This helps make it one of the purest lakes in the world, although it’s not great for fishing. The deep water off the camp’s boat launch is perfect for sailboats. Hiking trails starting from camp include the 21-mile Waldo Lake Trail and the 1-mile Shoreline Trail to Islet Campground. Mosquitoes can be annoying; pack repellent."
