Gold Lake Professional Review and Guide
"This attractive, popular campground is located along Gold Lake, a 100acre, 25-foot-deep mountain lake in an alpine forest setting of true fir, spruce, white pine, and mountain hemlock. Huckleberry and mountain ash further adorn camp and shore. The lake outlet has its own charm, with its deep-grass banks, alder clumps, and aquatic wildflowers. The outlet bridge bisects the camp, which has gravel parking, a few pull-through sites, and some lakeside sites. Only fly fishing and nonmotorized boating are allowed on the lake. Trailheads at and near camp open the door to neighboring high lakes and peaks for anyone willing to put boot leather to trail. Some paths double as cross-country ski trails."
