A mixed forest of fir, cedar, maple, and alder and a lush understory surround this campground. The well-spaced, private sites, some overlooking Salt Creek, have paved parking. Salt Creek provides a soothing backdrop and welcomes fishing. A 14-mile road trip upstream leads to the Salt Creek Falls Viewing Area, which features the 286-foot namesake waterfall, the second tallest in the state. At the developed viewing area, picnicking and hiking extend the recreation. Several paths double as cross-country ski trails in winter.
