This ride has an isolated feeling, and the ride takes you to a lovely alpine meadow. The loop begins with 7.6 miles of gravel roads. A quick drop leads to an easy to moderately difficult six-mile climb. Open views across the forest allow you to enjoy distant mountains. The descent is complicated by encroaching huckleberry bushes and windfalls, protect your skin. A couple of bear grass meadows make it difficult to keep your wheels rolling and obscure the trail. Blair Lake is approximately 18 miles northwest of Oakridge.
