In a stunning desert canyon in the remote southeast corner of the state, the park’s V. W. McCormack and Indian Creek Campgrounds offers landscaped sites above Lake Owyhee. Lake Owyhee is an attractive, 53-mile-long, 14,000-acre reservoir open to boating, swimming, and waterskiing and known for its bass fishing. Attractive reddish cliffs, terraced walls, and unusual geological formations frame the reservoir. A nearby resort rents boats.
