Great hike! Generally flat with some short hills. The trail alternates between woodland and lakefront. In early summer the mosquitos can be quite fierce, but a little bug spray does the trick. Lots of fish can be seen in the shallows, forget the fishing pole and bring the net! :) It can be hot in the summer, so bring lots of water. If the temp gets over 90, then you could see Thunderclouds gather around 3-4PM, keep and eye out for them. All in all a great way to spend the day!

I thought this was a great trail. It was hard and i would not recommed it for smaller children, but it was a good family hike. There were great views along the way as well as at the peak. The only disapointment was as we reached the peak we noticed cars, it seems you can drive up to the peak which in my opnion takes some of the thrill out of it. But other wise a great hike.
