Nehalem Bay State Park to Cape Lookout State Park Professional Review and Guide
"The road is near the water’s edge and the scenery is good for the first 21 miles. The road is near the water’s edge and the scenery is good for the first 21 miles. Shortly after passing through Bay City, the broad expanse of Tillamook Bay forces US 101 to turn inland, where it travels over a broad and nearly level plain covered with dairy farms and swamps. Miles are covered quickly, leaving you plenty of time to tour the cheese factory at the outskirts of the town of Tillamook. The self-guided tour leads to large viewing windows overlooking the almost entirely automated cheese-making process. A museum explains the history of cheese making, and a slide show illustrates the process. Finally, a snack bar answers any remaining questions."
