Hike via the Paradise Park Trail from the Paradise Park Trailhead to one of the best flower gardens on Mount Hood in Paradise Park. As you leave the trailhead, the route makes a couple of short switchbacks. It then heads northeast, with the campground to the right, to the wilderness registration box. Stop and get your wilderness permit here, then continue to climb very gently through the forest of Douglas fir, western hemlock, and western red cedar, and a few scattered lodgepole pines, and rhododendrons.
