Paradise Park Loop #757 Professional Reviews and Guides
"Situated just below timberline on the gently sloping southwest side of Mt. Hood, Paradise Park is famous for its wildflowers and mountain views. The truth is that both of these features, although excellent at Paradise Park, are actually better at places like Elk Cove or Yocum Ridge, but those locations are also harder for the average backpacker to reach.
Since this hike begins at nearly 6000 feet at Timberline Lodge, your car has already done much of the elevation gain before you start the hike. Keep in mind that Paradise Park is extremely popular, so be prepared for plenty of company and try to visit in midweek or in September, after Labor Day, to avoid the worst of the crowds."
