On this run, most of the riverbank is private property with no public access, so once you are on the river, stay on it. The run starts with 1 mile of flat water. After passing a house on the left next to the river, the action begins. Just past two log houses is a great play hole and another smaller but good play spot. Around the corner is the first class 4 rapids, Play Time: continuous eddy hopping with some great play spots. In the middle of this section, Rollodex Hole provides rodeo side surfing. Other ender and play spots abound for the next 0.25 mile. In the calm water above the diversion dam, get out and scout Darn It on river right. Scout down past the first drop; the lateral wave below is a flipper. At most water levels, this drop is run center; at higher flows it can be run left, then center. Looking back upstream from the river below gives an impressive view. Character: forested canyon.
