The paths in the corridor weave about, climb and fall, then climb and fall, then well, you get the idea-they cover as much territory as possible. Huckleberry Trail (an old gravel road) is a central artery running the length of the corridor. You can pick up this easy Trail at the Hardy Creek Trailhead, following it upstream for 6.5 miles to connect with the Molalla Forest Road. A side trail near the end of the road leads through a clear-cut to a small waterfall. A series of loop trails in the northern section of the system are more challenging. Regardless of your plans, before heading out, stuff a trail map and a compass in your jersey pocket. The Molalla River Recreation Corridor is 9 miles southeast of the city of Molalla. Molalla is about halfway between Portland and Salem, about 16 miles east of Interstate 5.
