Ochoco Divide Professional Review and Guide
"At Ochoco Pass on US 26, you will find this camp among the old-growth ponderosa pines and firs. The camp primarily caters to the passer-through, so individuals who opt to linger generally enjoy quiet days perfect for birding and relaxing. An old road leads away from the campground for an easy leg stretch. The Painted Hills Unit of John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is a half-hour’s drive northeast of the camp."
