Rattlesnake Canyon Recreation Site Professional Review and Guide
"This camp occupies a mild bench above the Deschutes Wild and Scenic River. Its sites blend into the expanse of sagebrush and rabbitbrush. Trees grow closer to the river, a cliff overlooks camp, and a tableland sits across the river. Fishing, boating, and rafting are the primary diversions. The river canyon funnels various birds past camp; bats may be active at dusk. Undercurrents make swimming dangerous. Boaters should familiarize themselves with river rules. Fires and smoking are prohibited June 1 to October 15."
