Oak Springs Recreation Site Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This camp on the Deschutes River has a central, gravel parking area with tables set up around it. At the south end of camp, a basalt outcrop grades to the river. A few residences dot the opposite arid slope, while Oak Springs provide a splash of uncharacteristic green. Fishing, boating, rafting, and relaxing are the pursuits of campers. Undercurrents in the river make swimming dangerous. Fires and smoking are prohibited from June 1 to October 15."
