Wauna Viewpoint Trail 402 Professional Reviews and Guides
"A short, but uphill, climb to a lookout beneath the powerlines. Wauna Viewpoint is a common–sense alternative to actually ascending Wauna Point. It has one major drawback: the powerlines. There’s no getting around it, the view is just not as pretty with the powerlines. This trail is similar to the one to Buck Point on the Ruckel Ridge Trail, but offers a slightly better view of Bonneville Dam and Table Mountain."
--Russ Schneider, revised by Jim Yuskavitch, Hiking The Columbia River Gorge (Falcon Guides).
"If you wanna hike to a decent viewpoint over the Columbia River gorge but don’t wanna sacrifice your knees nor exhaust your daily sweat quotient, then you’ll definitely wanna check out the Wauna Viewpoint."
--Craig Romano, Day Hiking Columbia River Gorge (The Mountaineers Books).
