Big Meadows Horse Camp Professional Review and Guide
"Established for equestrians, this campground rests in a welcoming forest of mixed firs, spruce, and mountain hemlock. Pole fencing defines the campground roadways and site turnouts. Each site is paired with a four-stall corral. Deer sometimes visit the vacant stalls, seeking hay. Horse trails head out from camp. If you plan to enter Mount Jefferson Wilderness Area, be sure to obtain a wilderness permit. Huckleberry picking is a seasonal diversion."
