Perry South Professional Review and Guide
"This popular camp straddles FR 64 in a narrow draw above the Metolius River Arm of Lake Billy Chinook. A dry forest houses the camp; at the lower camp you will find some big pines and a spring. The lower camp also sits closer to the lake, but the upper camp is the quieter retreat. Boating, swimming, fishing, and waterskiing entertain guests. You must have both a state license and a Warm Springs tribal license to fish the Metolius River Arm of Lake Billy Chinook. Nesting bald eagles are treated to a mandated quiet on this part of the lake until April 15 each year. By the time the campground opens, the success of their nests is secured."
