Pelton Park Professional Review and Guide
"This campground and its accompanying day-use area occupy 0.5 mile of the Lake Simtustus shore for a full lineup of wet fun. The canyon junipers provide welcome shade. The camp has paved parking, dry lawns, picturesque junipers, and a few natural boulders and outcrops. Some sites overlook the lake. Much of Lake Simtustus has a maximum boat speed of 10 miles per hour, but there is an area designated for speed craft. Kokanee, steelhead, rainbow and brown trout, and smallmouth bass make for excellent fishing and, later, dining. You will need both a valid state fishing license and a Warm Springs Indian Reservation license; you can buy both at the camp store. Pelton Wildlife Overlook, just north of the park, is a popular spot to visit."
