West Fork Lostine River

West Fork Lostine River Professional Review and Guide

"This day hike or backpack trail goes from Two Pan Trailhead to Minam Lake. This trail can be used to access Copper Creek Trail, Minam Lake/Mirror Lake Trail, and the Upper Minam River Trail. (Trail 1670) From the trailhead follow the trail south 200 yards to the wilderness boundary and the junction with East Fork Trail (1662).

Bear right at the junction. The trail crosses the East Fork of the Lostine River on a concrete bridge (5,670 ft.) 0.3 mile from the junction. The unmarked turnoff to Catched Two Lake is 0.7 mile past the bridge. See the Catched Two Lake Route hike entry. This area was hit by an avalanche some years ago, leaving it quite open. A waterfall can be seen uphill and to the right."
