Copper Creek

Copper Creek Professional Review and Guide

"This long day hike or backpack leads from the West Fork Lostine River Trail to North Minam River Trail. This trail is also the access to Granite Creek Trail and Cheval Lake Trail. (Trail 1656)

Turn right (west) at the Copper Creek Trail junction. Copper Creek Trail crosses the West Fork Lostine River 200 yards after leaving West Fork Lostine River Trail (1670). There is no bridge at this crossing. A few yards upriver from the spot where the trail crosses is a shallower spot, which is easier to cross for people on foot. After crossing the river, the trail crosses a couple of small side streams, then begins to climb."
