Catched Two Lake Route

Catched Two Lake Route Professional Review and Guide

"A short hike along the West Fork Lostine River Trail. Then a steep off-trail climb that leads to Catched Two Lake, cradled in a rugged alpine cirque. From Two Pan Trailhead hike south on the West Fork Lostine River Trail (1670). (The West and East Fork Lostine River Trails diverge a short distance south of the trailhead.) One mile from the trailhead the route (there is no trail) leaves the trail (6,000 ft.).

At the point where the route turns off the West Fork Lostine River Trail, there is a semiopen area, and a waterfall can be seen high above to the right. This waterfall is on the stream that flows out of Catched Two Lake (check your map). The route crosses the West Fork Lostine River on a log or by wading the ice-cold waters."
