Cascade head and Harts Cove Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Just north of Lincoln City’s gambling casinos, gift shops, fast-food joints, and other “attractions” is a haven for hikers looking to escape the plague of commercialism. From the towering heights of Cascade Head, some 1300 feet above the surf, you can luxuriate in a beautiful grassland filled with wildflowers and enjoy one of the most spectacular views in the state.
For a more private slice of paradise, add the hike to Harts Cove. This dramatic spot hides a tall waterfall, has numerous offshore rocks, and is home to the occasional bald eagle. It is the perfect place to enjoy the standard hiker’s fare of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches instead of the tourist’s hamburger and fries."
