Boardman Marina Park Professional Review and Guide
"This campground rests on a grassy Columbia River flat, with leafy shade trees and wind fences at the more-open sites. There are both back-in and pull-through spaces; all are paved. Lake Umatilla (the harnessed Columbia River) invites recreation with a designated swimming area and fishing and boating. Stiff winds common to the gorge may fill the sails of sailboats and sailboards. At the day-use area, look for petroglyphs, rescued when the dam was built. Binoculars come in handy, as McNary and Irrigon Wildlife Areas and Umatilla National Wildlife Refuge are all in the vicinity."
