Upper Sky Lakes

Upper Sky Lakes Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Gorgeous big blue lakes and craggy mountains in the upper portion of the Sky Lakes’ namesake basin.

For the Sky Lakes Basin’s most scenic and lake-filled area, continue on the Sky Lakes Trail (#3739) north from Big Heavenly Twin Lake. The mostly level path winds through a hemlock and lodgepole pine forest before emerging in the stunning heart of the Upper Sky Lakes basin. Two lakes on this hike are called Mosquito and No-See-Um. What more is there to say? June to mid-July are the worst."
