Lower Sky Lakes

Lower Sky Lakes Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"An easy hike to numerous large lakes in the lower and more accessible portion of the Sky Lakes Wilderness’s principal basin and namesake.

The Cold Spring Trail (#3710) to Isherwood and Heavenly Twin Lakes may not be quite as scenic as some other trails in the wilderness. On the other hand, many hiking devotees swear by this level, easy, lake-filled pathway into the Sky Lakes basin, for which the wilderness was named. Swimming and picnicking are excellent, although fishing is reputed to be only fair."
