Chukar Park Professional Review and Guide
"This campground is a pleasing oasis along the North Fork Malheur River. It sits in a rugged countryside, where the chukar—an introduced gameland partridge—is hunted in the fall. The camp unites lawn and native juniper-grassland vegetation. The 20- to 25-foot-wide North Fork Malheur races past the campground. Scenic cliffs across the river add to views. The campground is 9 miles south of Beulah Reservoir for fishing and boating."
