Twin Lakes Professional Review and Guide

"This day hike or backpack leads from the Twin Lakes Trailhead and Campground to the Imnaha River. This area was burned in the Twin Lakes Fire of September 1994. The flowers and views are great along the upper part of this trail.

The area around the trailhead and along most of this trail was burned in the September 1994 Twin Lakes Fire. The trail heads northwest from the trailhead (6,480 ft.). After a short distance it crosses the creek that connects the lakes. There is another creek crossing 0.2 mile farther along. Just past this second creek crossing is the Eagle Cap Wilderness boundary. Soon after passing the wilderness boundary, the trail starts to descend through the now completely burned forest into the Imnaha River canyon."
