Bonny Lakes Professional Review and Guide

"This backpack route or day hike runs from Tenderfoot Wagon Road Trail to East Fork Wallowa River Trail. (Trail 1802). There are campsites at Bonny Lakes, but the mosquitoes may be bad in July and August.

To reach Tenderfoot Trailhead take Imnaha Highway (OR 350; also known as Little Sheep Creek Highway and Hells Canyon Scenic Byway) for 8 miles east from Joseph. Turn right on FR
39 (Wallowa Mountain Loop Road) and follow it 10 miles south to Salt Creek Summit. drive a couple of miles farther on FR 39 past Salt Creek Summit, then turn right (southwest) on FR 100. Follow FR 100 to its end at the trailhead, approximately 4 miles."
