Echo Rock Hot Spring Professional Review and Guide
"Includes: Juniper Gulch. A trailless day hike or overnighter to a hot shower enjoyed by river rats, on the Owyhee Reservoir. Wear what you normally shower in. Well hidden on the bank above, you’ll discover a niche in the rocks with an ingeniously rigged shower pipe usually in place. Out gushes a lovely stream of 103-degree F water. Follow the steamy flow farther uphill, past a tent site on a sagebrush flat, and find a soaking pool, which sports a healthy growth of algae by late summer. It’s usually in cleaner shape during the rafting season, from March through mid-June, but you can’t go too early in the year or the shoreline route will still be underwater. It’s a narrow window."
