This is a magnificent drive among the high peaks of the Siskiyou Mountains, paralleling the state line and crossing a 7,061-foot pass. Side trips include the summit of Mt. Ashland, highest peak in the Siskiyous at 7,533 feet, and Dutchman Peak, the Siskiyous’ second highest peak, at 7,418 feet. Long gravel and dirt road, occasionally steep and washboarded. Areas of sharp switchbacks.
