You will find this family campground in an open, mostly natural forest setting of ponderosa pines and oaks above the Hood River. Noisy and turbulent, the river courses past camp; a short nature trail provides access and views. Wood ducks may sometimes be seen along the waterway. The camp lies within convenient reach of the Columbia River Gorge to the north. Lost Lake can be reached by traveling south and west via OR 281 (Hood River Highway) and FR 13.
