Tilly Jane was the jaunty nickname of Mrs. William Ladd of Portland. Mrs. Ladd must have been a delightful woman, for this creek is lovely in all seasons. Although it might be hidden beneath snow during the winter, you can still hear it burbling beneath the white stuff. To take this great little trip, you first have to get to Cloud Cap Inn.
