Surveyor's Ridge

Hood River, Oregon

Surveyor's Ridge Professional Review and Guide

"This trail is one of the classic singletrack Oregon rides that has everything an avid cyclist could ever want—creek crossings, rocks, roots, gravel, steep ascents, and a gutwrenching, arm-aching descent. You’ll also have phenomenal views of Mount Hood. Trail surface: Singletrack, gravel roads, and paved roads.

From Surveyor’s Ridge Trail 688, cyclists will get a bird’s-eye view of Mount Hood and the surrounding ridges and extensive valleys. This grand view makes up only a small portion of the 189,000-acre Mount Hood National Forest, which stretches more than 60 miles from the Columbia River Gorge south to the Olallie Scenic Area at the base of Mount Jefferson in the Central Cascades. Mount Hood is the centerpiece of this national forest and has been an indelible landmark for residents and visitors alike for centuries."

Very good trail, the start is a bit of a climb, with no warm up it can be a challenge. Super cool views that can't be beat!!!
