Sherwood Professional Review and Guide
"This campground on the East Fork Hood River offers a pleasant forest stay, with access to fishing and hiking, but its proximity to OR 35 brings with it some traffic sounds. Special fishing regulations apply to protect salmon and steelhead. Trails travel along the river and upstream along Cold Spring Creek, which flows into the river north of camp. Tamanawas Falls—an elegant waterfall with lacy streamers tumbling 100 feet over a basalt cliff—puts an exclamation mark on the journey up Cold Spring Creek."
