Lost Lake Professional Review and Guide
"Although it takes a bit of navigating to get here, Lost Lake and its outdoor playground more than satisfy. The 240-acre triangular lake offers quiet boating, fine fishing, and one of the best clear-day views of Mount Hood to be had anywhere. Old-growth forest and bountiful rhododendrons shape glorious realms to explore by trail or savor at camp. Set back from shore, the wooded camp is highly attractive and well ordered, with paved roads and parking. The concessionaire has designated sites by party size and number of vehicles. Some sites occupy a split level, with the tables and grills on a different terrace than the parking. Trails explore the lakeshore, old-growth grove, Lost Lake Butte, and the Old Skyline route. The Old-Growth Trail and the eastern part of the Lakeshore Trail are barrier-free, with long stretches of boardwalk."
