Hood River to Mosier Trail Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This 9-mile, out-and-back ride along a restored section of the Historic Columbia River Highway in Hood River makes for a great weekend leg stretch for yourself or an outing with the family. The wide, paved path offers views of the Columbia River Gorge that are almost constant and always breathtaking.
From the Mark O. Hatfield Trailhead in Hood River, this paved restored segment of the Historic Columbia River Highway parallels the river for 4.5 miles to the east trailhead. The path winds gently along basalt cliffs and beneath forest can pies. Along the route there are viewpoint pullouts and remnants of the Old Historic Highway, perfect spots for a water or snack break. There are a couple of minor, rolling ascents and descents that will provide some exercise, but nothing too strenuous."
