If you take the Tilly Jane Trail to the Cloud Cap Inn, you’ll encounter about 100 yards of relatively flat terrain on this trip—and that’s in the parking lot. Otherwise plan on a lot of uphill on the trip to this historic cabin— and allow at least 4 to 8 hours to do the trip. Don’t attempt it without a sturdy set of calf muscles. Also plan on jaw-dropping views of Mount Hood.
