Along Brooks Ditch, this campground extends a quiet forest retreat. In fall, hunters swell the camp population. Opposite the campground turnoff is FR 7715, which travels 4.5 miles to the road’s end and Summit Point Trailhead and a vista. Views pan southsouthwest. Hiking the Cliff River Trail from here leads past Summit Point Lookout Tower, which is reached via the spur at 0.6 mile. Destinations include Little Eagle Meadows, Nip and Tuck Passes, and some prized high-mountain lakes, if you are a power hiker or backpacker. Bears frequent the Summit Point area.
