East Lakes Reservoir

East Lakes Reservoir Professional Review and Guide

"This side trip leads from the junction of Sugarloaf and East Pine Creek Trails to East Lakes Reservoir. Elk are common along this route. From the junction with Sugarloaf Trail, East Lakes Reservoir Trail heads southwest.

After going about 500 yards, the trail becomes difficult to see in some woods. Keep going southwest. Stay nearly level, then go over a small rise to where the trail shows up again and the lakes come into view. The trail then drops down slightly to the lakes (7,272 feet)."
