Copperfield Park

Copperfield Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"On the one-time site of the rough-and-tumble mining city of Copperfield, Oregon, sits this pleasant, groomed, developed park with lots of open lawn and a few big pines. Park offerings include a swimming area on the broad, harnessed Snake River, with boating access nearby. This section of the river, Hells Canyon Reservoir, is popular with fishermen; warmwater fish species are the primary catch. North (downstream) from the camp, Hells Canyon Reservoir Trail offers a wonderful hike, with views of the steep-walled canyon and broad, cloudy river. Trailhead parking is limited, with no developed turnaround."
