Dollar Mountain Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"The trailhead is located within the Grants Pass city limits. The hike, to the top of a small mountain, is short, very steep, and an excellent example of a lowland ecosystem.
Although all the trailhead signs were put up by the city, most of the trail is on BLM land. The BLM is responsible for maintaining the trail, and their rules apply. (Open 24 hours; pets must be on-leash or under voice command; mountain bikes are OK but no motorized vehicles.) The trailhead is in a residential neighborhood, so be respectful. Also be cautious; homeless people may be camping nearby. No water. After hiking in spring and summer, check yourself and your pet for ticks."
