Big Pine Professional Review and Guide
"This fine family campground is stretched across a forested flat along the banks of Myers Creek. Some magnificent firs and pines tower above the camp; vine maples and filberts fill out the midstory. The campsites have earthen parking, and a rustic split-rail fence frames the camp meadow. You can follow a nature trail to explore the forest and visit the area’s champion ponderosa pine. Big Pine shoots 250 feet skyward and has a diameter of almost 6 feet. Also from camp, spur trails lead to the longer trails that traverse the valleys of Taylor and Briggs Creeks."
