Kelsay Valley Trailhead Camp Professional Review and Guide
"This campground is designed to serve both families and equestrian campers. Several site spurs are long enough to accommodate horse trailers. The camp rests in a lodgepole pine forest on the outskirts of a wildflower-spangled high meadow threaded by Bradley Creek, a tributary of the North Umpqua River. Hiker/horse trails travel the area. If you follow the North Umpqua Trail upstream, you will eventually reach the river’s headwaters, Maidu Lake, on the Cascade Crest. Come prepared for mosquitoes."
