Canton Creek: 6.5 Miles above Steamboat Creek to Steamboat Creek Professional Review and Guide
"This entertaining and scenic tributary of Steamboat Creek is an excellent choice for intermediate paddlers. The road is always close by, but it never intrudes on the run. The ledgy nature of the creek provides many nice surfing holes and waves between rapids, all of which adds up to one of the best all-around runs in the area.Below the put-in bridge, the creek flows over many small drops and several long class 3 boulder gardens that have generous eddies for boat scouting. The creek is always quite wide, so generous flows are necessary for an enjoyable day."
