Skull Creek Professional Review and Guide
"Along Cow Creek Backcountry Byway, these five campsites dot a rise above and across the road from Cow Creek. The sites have level gravel parking pads, and views sweep the neighboring ridges and their mosaics of mixed-age trees. The camp is popular with hunters, and the surrounding countryside has a rich mining legacy. At the Cow Creek Gold Panning Area, reached by going northwest on the byway from camp, you can swill your pan for color."
