Milwaukie and Gladstone

Milwaukie and Gladstone Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Milwaukie and Gladstone—to many Portlanders, these are just places to speed past on SE McLoughlin Boulevard, aka Oregon Route 99E. Yet tucked behind the big-box stores and car dealerships hide quaint Main Streets, all but swallowed up by Portland’s growth. This ride visits both towns, plus a few equally underappreciated natural areas.

Begin in downtown Milwaukie at Scott Park. From the park, follow 21st Avenue to Harrison Street, then right to cross SE McLoughlin Boulevard. A path leads left, bringing you to the Jefferson Boat Ramp and Kellogg Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. The path continues behind the parking lot, leading to the Island Station neighborhood and Spring Park, gateway to Elk Rock Island."
