Donner und Blitzen River: Blitzen Crossing to Page springs Campground Professional Review and Guide
"The Donner und Blitzen River, often referred to as the Blitzen, is a Wild and Scenic River and a superb fly-fishing stream. The mountain river flows through a parched southeast Oregon setting with no outlet beyond Malheur Lake. Located in a region of exceptional biological diversity, the Donner und Blitzen is boated infrequently. The run down the Donner und Blitzen River has three distinct sections: the South Fork from Indian Creek to the confluence with the Little Blitzen; the main Donner und Blitzen from the Little Blitzen River to about 1.5 miles above Fish Creek; and from there to Page Springs Campground. Because there is no access to the lower two sections, paddlers must undertake all three parts, a total of 17.2 miles."

If it was not for the bugs this would be a perfect campground. The fishing was great! Very little fishing pressure. It was warm there. There was shade in our site.Camp hosts very helpful, You should be prepared for T-Storms, use your rain fly. Just hae fun!
