Shelton Wayside State Park

Fossil, Oregon

Shelton Wayside State Park Professional Review and Guide

"Service Creek flows through this linear campground, which stretches for 1 mile at the foot of a forested ridge traversed by trail. The camp has a meadow floor, which is partially shaded by the pine-fir complex. Arnica and mock orange lend seasonal color. The wayside offers a base for exploring the scattered units of John Day Fossil Beds National Monument or participating in the John Day River recreation."
