The lower Row River has long been a stepping stone for new Eugene-area paddlers. The river is very close to Cottage Grove and flows through farmlands in the lower Willamette Valley. Small and shallow most of the time, the river is usually hazard-free, though brushy banks must be avoided on occasion. Most of the land along the riverbanks is private, so be careful where you stop.
